Lighting:
3 point lighting is a very important source of both photo and film capturing, many professional workers in the industry use lighting as it can totally change the perception of your shots and your mood and esthetic aswell.
E.g hard light as your main source of brightness on your subject/background is the utmost important light source to use and master as it greatly effects the back light and the fill light aswell.
Fill light softens the shadows of a subject and allows the image or shot of the person, to be softer and lighter, if the the subjects shadow is to harsh or unnecessary in the spefic shot.
Edge Light adds shape and outline to your picture/shot. With the absence of a key light, silhouettes can be created as the light is pointed behind the subject.
